Kaitlyn Kim

Kaitlyn is a New York City-based filmmaker and storyteller currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Film and Television at New York University (NYU). With a foundation in Fashion Business, earned at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Kaitlyn's creative journey weaves together distinct realms of visual storytelling and fashion. At the heart of Kaitlyn's work is a deep interest in what it means to be human — grappling with the intricacies and contradictions of the human experience. Through the lens of film, Kaitlyn delves into themes of empathy, existence, and the subconscious, challenging the boundaries between reality and the internal worlds we inhabit. Drawing influence from existential philosophy, Kaitlyn's films blur the lines between tangible reality and the intangible realms of the mind, using surreal, liminal spaces to evoke a heightened sense of self-awareness and introspection.
