* Participated in species at risk (SAR) visual encounter surveys as part of the Ojibway Prairie Reptile Recovery Project (OPRREC) * Conducted standardized road mortality surveys by bicycle within the Ojibway Prairie Complex * Completed SAR habitat enhancement, including the removal of invasive vegetation species and creation of shelter/gestation sites * Assisted with reptile barrier fence installation and monitoring * Conducted research and contacted medical facilities across Ontario for medical community outreach project on venomous snake bites

Continuing to work for the OPRREC project to help recover the Ojibway population of Eastern Massasauga rattlesnakes

* Captured and processed turtles for the START Muskoka and Lake Simcoe projects while surveying for other reptile and amphibian species at risk * Independently managed the START Lake Simcoe pilot project following the departure of field partner in July * Conducted evening road surveys for turtles during nesting season and excavated their nests * Responded to calls about injured, rare or nesting turtles within the Muskoka area * Processed and released turtle hatchlings * Organized and delivered outreach programs within the Muskoka and Lake Simcoe area * Conducted educational tours for visitors to Scales Nature Park * Assisted with the care and maintenance of the reptiles and amphibians at Scales Nature Park

* Supported the Director of Major Gifts as well as the Associate Vice President of Development until an Assistant to the AVP was hired in November * Managed each of their calendars and filing systems, booked meetings, prepared meeting agendas and other meeting materials * Volunteered and assisted in the preparation and execution of events hosted by the Office of Advancement * Conducted prospect research using the fundraising software Raiser’s Edge * Assisted the Major Gifts teams as well as other members of the Development team with tasks such as data entry, taking meeting minutes and preparing orientation binders * Created monthly dashboard reports that summarized the fundraising activity of each faculty and school, as well as the Principal Gifts Team

* Gained a broader knowledge about household hazardous waste and how to properly handle, sort, and store it * Maintained daily inventory of waste collection and coordinated shipment of hazardous waste to HOTZ Environmental Services Inc. * Responded to general inquiries and concerns from residents about waste management and provided information about hazardous waste and the recycling centre services * Obtained Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate and Forklift Training Certificate * Completed a job shadow with the Region of Peel Environmental Control division
