Completed 35 hours of training and was sworn in as an official CASA advocate. Acted as an advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system. Attended court on a weekly basis and gave recommendations to a judge on behalf of a child.

Helped create, plan, and design the new Civic Engagement Pathway program for incoming freshmen at the University of Puget Sound in an effort to bring together students' academic work, residential living opportunities, club involvement, community service, activism and advocacy experiences, and getting to know the city of Tacoma. Acts as a personal mentor and consultant for students involved in the program to help them plan and design their own group outings and service projects.

Scheduled and coordinated weekly study hours for the whole chapter while monitoring chapter and individual members' GPAs. Hosted scholarship banquet and faculty appreciation banquet every semester, as well as coordinated chapter activities to encourage use of campus resources. Promoted and awarded academic achievements on a regular basis.

Created and distributed regular e-newsletters to campus community and Tacoma organizations. Generated promotional campaigns for service and social justice events. Facilitated communication between students who are seeking civic engagement opportunities and local organizations who are seeking volunteers. Answered phones and performed other general office duties including welcoming individuals into the office, printing copies of posters, data entry, and communicating among team members face-to-face and via email.

Serves as student-peer supervisor, and a personal and academic resource for residents in a freshmen residence hall. Balances personal, school and R.A. duties and understands how to handle stressful situations in a professional manner. Provides additional resources for residents in order to help them make their time living on campus healthy and positive. Utilizes the Engagement Model to help plan and host programs and to aid in building community
