Independently research and investigate Comedy Specials, Podcasts, Interviews and other materials on their role in influencing public sentiment on political issues and analyze the shift in comedy to right-wing ideology.

Support ongoing projects examining how people understand each other during real-world interactions. Primarily assist with behavioral data analysis, which involve reviewing AI-generated transcripts or facial expression data for accuracy, rating movie or TV clips used as experimental stimuli, and getting involved in fNIRS (functional near-infrared spectroscopy) neuroimaging data collection.

Work with individuals with autism spectrum disorders or other special needs providing one-to-one behavior treatment in the client’s home, school, community, and/or clinic settings. Utilize the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to teach the clients adaptive behaviors in developmental areas such as motor skills, socialization, and language. Provide training to the client’s parents/caregivers in how to effectively implement the behavior intervention plan. Take detailed data reports regarding every skill and behavior targeted while working with the client and/or caregiver.

Works to coordinate with other Asian Pacific Coalition Leadership Board members to help with administrative tasks. Organizes all administrative documents (including, but not limited to, minutes, agendas, and sign-­in sheets) in binders and/or electronic media. In charge of maintaining the organizational calendar with meetings and programs and other relevant events. Publishes newsletters via mailchimp and updates email list. Facilitates upkeep of administrative materials related to the transitional process. Serves as Signatory with Executive Team.

Advocate and uplift over 20 Asian American Pacific Islander organizations at UCLA through facilitation learning and addressing community issues within UCLA and beyond. Shadow current board members to engage with leadership roles and positions and learn more about coalition-building. Involvement in community engagement, outreach, and cultural exchanges on and off-campus through volunteering, tutoring, and civic engagement.

Worked on UCLA campus to assist in preparing and serving drinks and meals at ASUCLA Bruin Buzz. Gained skills in food management, teamwork, sanitization, and handled kitchen supplies and inventory. Practiced customer service and communication skills.

Greeted guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression. Promoted bakery items and assisted with front-of-house retail sales as needed. Managed seating charts and waitlists efficiently using a reservation system. Coordinated with servers and kitchen staff to maintain steady service flow. Answered incoming calls, provided menu and location details, and took reservations. Kept the host stand and surrounding areas clean, organized, and inviting.

Assist in developing interactive and engaging human body system lesson plans & activity kits for disadvantaged and low-income elementary and middle school students. Outreach to schools and community organizations to distribute materials throughout school districts. Analyze educational disparities and explore ideas to bridge gap between racial and socioeconomic disadvantages. Publish a scholarly article with findings, possible solutions, and implications for educational systems in California.

Learn how to promote access to higher education within underserved communities through community investment and leadership. Tutor Philipinx high school students in the greater Los Angeles area in schoolwork, extracurriculars, and college applications and attend weekly workshops to cultivate lesson plans and gather resources to lend to students.
