As the Sustainable Supply Chain Manager at Valmet, I lead initiatives to integrate sustainability into our supply chain operations. My key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing processes to manage supply chain risks and to minimize any negative impact. Leading global sustainability auditing program to ensure ethical business practices. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement. Developing corporation wide processes to adhere to sustainability regulation ( CBAM, CSRD, EUDR, CSDDD, etc.). Supporting stakeholders in promoting sustainability throughout the supply chain and engaging with suppliers.

Main tasks: •Create optimized production plan based on latest forecast short/mid/long-term stock, production hours and raw material availability to meet CS levels and maintain site KPI’s for over 200 finished articles in high volume process FMCG environment •Prioritise MR/FG supply demands within latest production plan •Assure up to date market forecast. •Communicate planning change issues within production or with markets •Evaluate and attune production plan progress regularly •Gather mid and long term information about market trends, production capacity e.g. holiday and project plans. •Keeping finished product and pack material stock levels under control whilst meeting demand and keeping the lines running. •Planning the phase in/out of finished products. •Working with the Site Initiatives Leader to plan trials and the introduction of new products. •Maintaining master data in SAP •Evaluate production performance and improve KPI e.g. hit rate by development of processes •Also purchasing of packaging materials for all articles and maintaining relations and communication with suppliers on daily basis

This position consisted of working within a cross-functional team environment, providing production plan ensuring that a high quality customer service level could be maintained. An important aspect of this position was balancing resources with demand and adjusting production plan for paper converting lines to ensure all the right products are held in stock, at the right quantity, at the right time and quality. The job also consisted of recognizing problems and providing solutions and communicating process status to production, sales, logistics and suppliers. In addition to production planning tasks, purchasing of raw materials was also a responsibility. The job required and developed the ability to control large entities from monitoring stock levels of a large number of products, continuosly monitoring and analyzing accuracy of production plan and ensuring all raw materials are in stock so production will not stall in case of out-of-stock situation.
