Facilitate and model a safety leadership style that demonstrates our priority for health and safety and underpins our drive to zero harm. Implement the safety strategic plan initiatives at an operational level, and ensure safety and health systems and processes are understood and implemented effectively. Projects included: WICET – Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal, Gladstone Australia Pacific LNG – Curtis Island, Gladstone Implemented John Holland’s WHS Management System and aligned KPIs with project safety plans. Advised site leaders on WHS policies, managed permits, and ensured compliance with client (Bechtel) requirements. Led audits, facilitated accident investigations, and maintained WHS registers. Compiled weekly/monthly safety reports and improved safety awareness through close communication with the workforce. Coordinated WHS initiatives and delivered site inductions, toolbox talks, audits, and workplace inspections.

Implemented Rio Tinto’s WHS Management System, aligning key performance indicators (KPIs) with overarching project safety objectives. Provided strategic WHS advice to site leadership, managed high-risk work permits, and ensured full compliance with both Rio Tinto and client (Bechtel) requirements. Led internal audits, facilitated incident and accident investigations, and maintained all WHS registers in line with statutory obligations. Compiled detailed weekly and monthly safety performance reports, driving continuous improvement through frontline engagement and workforce communication. Delivered end-to-end WHS initiatives including site inductions, toolbox talks, workplace inspections, and targeted safety campaigns to lift on-site safety culture.
