• Develop an understanding of the unique characteristics and specific needs of Food Bank of the Albemarle's service area, which includes 15 counties, 120-plus partnerships, and distribution of 9 million pounds of food annually. • Research, develop, and lead implementation of new programs, initiatives and services in response to emerging or changing needs. • Work cross-collaboratively to enhance or expand current programs to better meet the needs of the population. • Evaluate programs and services to ensure cost-effective and efficient service delivery. • Lead planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating a community health literacy grant that has the primary goal of reducing Franklin County COVID-related health disparities and improving health outcomes among racial and ethnic minorities. • Serve as a project liaison between FCPH and its contracted project agencies. Serves on internal and external committees. • Designs and implements health literacy activities. Builds and manages health literacy programs. Conducted community education programs for diverse populations, coordinated responses to requests for health literacy information and acted as a spokesperson on the health literacy project. • Utilize systems and resources for collecting data and managing, analyzing, and using applicable data related to health literacy. • Work collaboratively with the project director, supervisor, external site co-investigators and evaluation staff to develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive project evaluation and quality improvement (QI) plan.

• Develop, facilitate, and maintain community coalitions that focus on improving community health. Assesses the health needs of specific populations and communities. • Guide community partners through health planning processes and develop recommendations. • Identify health barriers and make recommendations, monitor implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of projects. • Assists with budget development of programs and identify funding opportunities. • Identify partnerships and promote community health programs, education, and training while integrating the social determinants of health and health equity. • Collaborate with local and state organizations to educate and engage in initiatives that promote equity, reduce health disparities

• Lead effort to train produce partners to implement programs and report service statistics • Monitor agency partners and ensure partners are meeting compliant with Federal and State laws and regulations as well as delivering excellent customer service expectations (USDA, ODJFS) • Assist in conducting and analyzing surveys with produce partners and clients • Provide program information/statistics to the Programs Director on time and in the proper reporting format • Maintained program delivery calendars/schedules and collected and entered program service data into the project database.

Develop and implement daily curriculum. Assesses the needs, interests, and ability of the children in the program and adapts activities to the needs/levels of each child. Integrates children into a group environment with team building activities. Oversees the daily program operations and staff supervision at assigned site (i.e. maintenance of site, cleanliness, materials) Familiarizes staff with and enforce ODJFS licensing rules and YMCA policies and procedures Ensures the site’s compliance with all ODJFS licensing requirements including keeping required paperwork current.

Develop recruitment materials for National Health Corps Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Health Department. Assisted with planning National Health Corps member retreats, training days, and service days. Assisted in National Health Corps recruitment process. This involved recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates.

AmeriCorps member with National Health Corps Pittsburgh As a nutrition educator I get the joy of introduction children to new foods through teaching them a nutrition education lesson and a hands on cooking class. Another valuable part of my service is scheduling and providing healthy cooking demonstrations at health clinics, senior centers, and pantries. I encourage conversation about healthy eating and cooking. Developed Nutrition Education materials. Developed educational materials for youth and adults. Developed recipe cards.
