Worked part-time remote throughout the 2024-2025 school year then returned to Sacramento to work full-time over the summer. I’m helping the team restructure one of our portfolio companies; initiate the exit of several CVF III holdings; and closing our next fund, CVF IV.

Summer internship where I focused mostly on portfolio management and assisting the team in raising our next fund, CVF IV. CVF Capital Partners is a fully-licensed SBIC mezzanine fund. We offer capital solutions to underserved industries throughout the California Central Valley and the western United States.

I approach homeowners with wind-damaged roofs and offer solutions by coordinating with their insurance to address the needed repairs.

I worked with other students to assess potential growth equity investments. This includes market and industry research, financial modeling, and a variety of other activities. At UGF, students decide if, when, and how we make investments.

I synthesized startups’ pitch decks to determine participation in accelerator programs and directed weekly meetings with pre-seed startups (ARXSky, ProPlans) in preparation for fundraising events.

I sourced businesses by analyzing middle market banks, listing aggregator websites, and brokerage firm websites. I also evaluated companies using business model, region, EBITDA, margins, revenue, B2B vs. B2C and industry criteria.

I initiated the sales process by contacting retail customers by going door-to-door. This included qualifying customers, retrieving necessary documentation and information, and scheduling an appointment for another salesman to come by.

I sourced 25 lower-middle market companies weekly in USA/Canada for possible buyout transactions and researched $2-$15M EBITDA companies within highly fragmented, recession resistant industries. I also researched merger and acquisition trends and current market conditions for my team lead.

I distributed 85 micro-loans of gh¢1500 to individual entrepreneurs in various resell/trading markets and taught basic business skills and fundamental financial principles to classes of 200+ clients weekly.

I generated $250k+ in revenue by contacting 10-15 retail customers per day and trained 2 new salespeople on customer tracking tools and sales techniques.

I constructed 2 prefabricated metal buildings (total 80k sq ft) including framing, insulation, roofing, placing windows and doors, and operating forklifts and man lifts in teams of 6 by assembling 300-400 pieces.
