Designed and manufactured textile-based analog sensors and compact, mobile microelectronics.

Pneumatic Indexer • Designed new pneumatic indexer and performed finite element analysis for optimization and verification of design decisions • Combined additive and subtractive manufacturing to improve performance 30% versus competition at lower price • Removed need for precision-ground parts • Designed and integrated bespoke pneumatic manifold for simplicity of setup and operation Pneumatic Parallel Gripper/Rotator • Invented combined rotary actuator and parallel gripper for integration into a bottle-filling facility • Overcame material and sealing issues to allow continuous operation in corrosive, bleach filled environment. Pneumatic Damping Actuator • Extensively modified existing rotary actuator for production in batches of 1000 instead of 20 • Reduced machining time by use of custom extrusions • Designed bespoke parts to reduce bill of materials from over 20 parts down to 8.
