Responsible for supervising mining teams in various tasks across the mine including topsoil stripping and stockpiling, construction and maintenance of haul roads, overburden drilling for blasting, mining of overburden and ore with excavator and truck fleets, ROM management, maintaining feed into process plant and train loading Duties also include liaising with the client on a daily and weekly basis to review safety performance, productivity rates and costings Working closely with the tech Services department to ensure mine plans are best practice and achievable against the SRF Facilitate Return to Work meetings, Prestart meetings, Toolbox talks and JSEA’s. Review SOP’s and Safe Work Instructions Conduct critical risk observations and safety observations, work area inspections and incident investigations Mentoring of Supervisors and operators to achieve scheduled production volumes and safety KPI’s Acting Project Manager during weekends and other planned absences

Responsible for supervising a mining team in various tasks across the mine including the development of new mining areas which involved tree clearing, topsoil stripping and stockpiling, construction of haul roads, go-lines, ROM pad, drill prep, mining of overburden, intrusion and various grades of coal with excavator and truck fleets, Dozer push with up to 8 x D11’s Duties also include Facilitate Prestart meetings, Toolbox talks and JSEA’s. Conduct safety observations, work area inspections and Incident investigation Mentoring of operators to achieve scheduled production volumes and safety KPI’s

Responsible for managing personnel and equipment across 3 different mine sites to deliver civil projects safely and efficiently with various mixed fleets of excavators, dump trucks, dozers, scrapers and graders Duties also included conducting safety observations, work area inspections, Incident investigation, facilitating level 3 WRAC’s, JSEA’s Oaky Ck Mine Construct 4 x large registered environmental dams to stringent QA and engineering requirements in an 8 month window. Newlands Mine Construct dam retaining wall and spillway inside outlet channel for environmental water discharge Middlemount Mine Various Civil works including realignment and repair of existing haul roads Excavation and construction of water diversion channels, levee walls and drains. Installation of drainage pipes. Construct turning lanes to DMR Specs from the Middlemount – Dysart rd into the Mine.

Responsible for managing three mining areas, 6 x Truck shovel fleets, 2 x Draglines, 1 x Rope shovel with a permanent production workforce of 12 Supervisors, 4 x Leading hands and 350 operators. Duties also included conducting safety observations, work area inspections, Incident investigation, facilitating level 3 WRAC’s, JSEA’s, SOP reviews, Short Range Forecast reviews, Monthly budget reviews, Mine plan reviews. Managing contractors completing topsoil stripping, shaping spoil into final landform and topsoil spreading.

Responsible for managing personnel and equipment across the mine including 2 x Production Superintendents, 12 x Supervisors, 6 x fleets of ultra class excavators and 1 rope shovels and to meet a 6 million bcm per month prestrip contract with a production workforce in excess of 450 employees Duties also included conducting safety observations, work area inspections, Incident investigation, Short Range Forecast reviews, Monthly budget reviews, Mine plan reviews.

Responsible for managing personnel and equipment across the mine including 2 x fleets of ultra class excavators with a production workforce in excess of 100 employees during excavation of Bulk Sample Pit Duties also included mentor Supervisors and operators during the construction of registered flood levees to achieve stringent QA and engineering requirements, placement of 300 lineal meters of 2.5m dia steel pipline, backfill and compact, placement of armour rock and rehabilitation of creek banks
