Justin Fiutem

Justin currently coordinates the human performance laboratory at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in the Department of Pediatrics and is involved with research studies related to exercise, cancer, obesity, and cardiology. He has authored and co-authored many published abstracts and manuscripts on the topics of exercise testing, obesity, exercise physiology, nutrition, and cardiology. Clinically, he conducts all of the diagnostic exercise studies in The Congenital Heart Collaborative at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital (RB&C) in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Justin is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Nutrition in the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He teaches Nutrition 362/462 - Exercise Physiology and Macronutrient Metabolism for the department. He is also the instructor for the “Exercise is Medicine” specialty area for the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandell Wellness and Preventive Care Pathway in the School of Medicine at CWRU. He is also heavily involved in teaching exercise physiology concepts and practical laboratories to undergraduate students, graduate students, medical students, and fellows in several different departments at both CWRU and University Hospitals of Cleveland.
