Being creative and having an extrovert personality, I look after attaining balance in the opportunities and projects I handle. I am a driven coordinator and I always work to attain personal satisfaction. I do put my personal limits high. Still, as a peoples manager I try to also 'infect' others with my energy and drive for the best possible results. To budget, plan, meet, discuss, motivate and manage are surely my strongest points. In February 2009, I started my journey in Delamode. Being not familiar at all with freight forwarding sector (but in first instance my financial hands-on mentality was the highest needed...), I started a journey that would turn out to be very successful for company and stake-holders involved. More than with any other job, the responsibilities diverge from the duties and the measurement. My first priority was to restore financial balance and overcome the losses of 2006 - 2008! From a very difficult situation, we were able to end 2009 with a profit, following a very strict budget, fierce cost-cutting and gaining operational knowledge were the key-stones of the strategy for this turn-around management. Now that budgets are closely followed and also obtained, all other duties of 'my' management are key to success or failure of the company. Operations, marketing, strategy, financing, creation of company culture, human resources, hiring, firing, compliance with safety regulations, sales, PR, etc. - it all falls on to me as MD’s shoulders. But what about the entrepreneurship, - which is always in my blood and DNA. never miss to create a new product or traffic line and expand these into other countries. And last but not least: I see it as my duty to build culture. Work gets done through people, and people are profoundly affected by culture. A lousy place to work can drive away high performers. After all, they have their pick of places to work. And a great place to work can attract and retain the very best. And all that is what, in 2009 – 2025, has made Delamode Baltics a success to become no1 in Baltics: strategy, budget, revenue, profit, operational successes and mostly people management make me a proud! (but what a hell of a job.... :)) and now to continue within Europe.... :)
