Collect pertinent patient information, initiate patient ESI triage to determine immediate care needs and the standards of care needed to develop an individualized care plan. Perform continuous patient assessments; formulate Nursing diagnosis, initiate interventions, assist in Care Plan administration and Patient/Family Education. Ensure the provision of quality emergency nursing care to patients in accordance with the interdisciplinary team, physician orders, hospital policy, and standard of nursing practice.

Assist pediatricians by assessing a child's needs and providing initial patient care. Document patient's symptoms and medical history for the doctor to review. Initiate IV access, draw blood, administer medication and give childhood vaccinations. Assist a pediatrician during a patient examination. Provide education to families on immunizations, nutrition, diet and good health habits.

Participate with ER Procedures, ACLS, Trauma codes, NG tube placement, bladder irrigation systems, ET tube or Trach ventilator Care, Wound care and Manage/stabilize injuries of other emergency situations. Continuous Monitoring of patients who are hemodynamically unstable using telemetry/ ventilation equipment; Facilitate safe transfer of critically ill patients to appropriate units. Safe IV Therapy administration of titratable and sedative medications.

•Assess residents in the community, administer pharmacology as ordered, prepare weekly medication pre-pour, plan follow up visits to evaluate medication effectiveness and provide wound care treatment as ordered. •Teach residents/family about disease process, medication side effects and home safety precautions. •Supervise Aide services, assess home environment for safety and provide continuous teaching. •Communicate with physicians/interdisciplinary team for changes in condition and plan early interventions to reach the individualized goals of the residents. •Admit residents to the agency, complete Re-visit assessments and UAS certification in a timely manner.
