Regional Finance Director, CFO - Latin America - Consumer Products

Reporting to the Global VP of Finance Supply Chain, with a regional team of 32 coworkers located in Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia. Led the Supply Chain end-to-end process in Latin America, with annual revenues in excess of US$1.8 billion, of which production costs accounted for US$0.8 billion. Responsible for all financial functions and Supply Chain process (Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost, Procurement, Risk management including Currency strategies, QA and Logistics) supporting 20 company-owned plants in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela, 30 external manufacturing sites and 25 distribution centers in 12 countries throughout the region. Board director, member of the Latin America Executive Committee (LAEC) and Latin America Supply Chain Committee for the consumer sector. • Responsible for managing the regional P&L, cost management, capital investment optimization, cash flow and treasury management, working capital, financial analyses, ensuring compliance best practices in statutory, legal and US-GAAP/SOX policies; • Leadership of the budget and forecast process, coordination of the five-year strategic plan and definition of pricing strategies and policies for Brazil and LATAM; • Bank relationship involving cash management, corporate finance and exchange rate risk management; • Implementation of a financial results management model (system income), promoting greater visibility and transparency in decision-making, contributing to more strategic actions for the business; • Regional implementation of S&OP, obtaining the best indices worldwide for forecast performance and service level indicators; • Active role in the acquisition of new businesses, such as Pfizer's OTC business and sale of the Perfex and Jontex business units;

Reporting to the Caribbean region CEO, with a team of 15 coworkers in four countries (Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic an Trinidad). Responsible for revenues in excess of US$100 million in the consumer division, as well as for the consolidation of four legal entities and an export market of 15 countries. Member of the Local Board and strategic partner of the Managing Director in the region. • Integration of Finance and Controllership with all stakeholders, acting as business partner aimed at leveraging a consistent increase in sales, boosting profitability and turning around of the business; • Led the business restructuring process in the Caribbean, providing financial support to the change management process, optimizing processes and results; • Responsible for all strategic and operational processes in the finance, treasury, controllership and IT areas, including SAP implementation in 2003; • Implemented and headed the Finance Shared Services processes in the Caribbean for the Consumer, Nutrition and Vision Care businesses; • Implemented the corporate governance model, ensuring the application of internal control and compliance best practices regarding all key processes of the organization. • Developed and implemented tax planning projects, including the implementation of an operation in Trinidad’s free-trade zone and development of transfer pricing strategies.

Finance and Marketing Controller

Reporting to the CFO in Brazil and with a team of 30 employees was responsible for the annual budget and forecast, preparing management reports and providing support to the Marketing and Sales areas as well by the finance controllership. • Managed expenses and investments relative to product sales (trade spending), advertising and promotions, and analyzed the profitability of products and clients. • Prepared pricing strategies and the Commercial Policy for all distribution channels. • Reorganized the Commercial and Manufacturing areas at J&J Comercial and J&J Industrial, negotiating with state authorities the installation of distribution centers and registering products at ANVISA, leading to tax savings in excess of US$5.2 million.
