Responsibilities included the day to day function of the business office. Included census, Billing for all payers, Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance and private. Ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations for billing- Closed contact with the county to ensure timely Medicaid approvals. Oversee the Financial P&L and assist with detail for the financial performance of the facility- Oversee 10 employees from the reception area, Payroll, Payables and Ar assistant.

Running the Medicaid department with over 700 Medicaid clients. The clientele have New York and New Jersey Medicaid. -Process medicaid application for uninsured patients and follow the full application process. -Obtain all required documentation to obtain Medicaid eligiblity -Spend down process to obtain Medicaid Eligibility -Stablish strong communcation with the local agencies, such as NJ county board of social services -Stablish strong communication with the local social security agency. Stablish a good relationship with the supervisor to ensure effective communication. -Constant communication with the families to ensure the process of the medicaid application and spend down are transitioning effectively. -Maintain low outstanding A/R Balance -Generate Patient responsibility bills -Effectively processing representative payees to ensure collection of the patient responsibility -Data entry, posting of NY and NJ Medicaid remits. -Knowledge of EmedNY billing side -Extensive knowledge with Emevs for NJ -Process weekly NY and NJ Medicaid billing -Monthly Ar Reviews with Comptroller

* Responsible for North Jersey Region * Consisting of 13 Skilled Nursing Facilities. Responsible for the Revenue and Accounts Receivables for that Region * totaling over 5 Million dollars a month. Responsible for the training, supervision, evaluation, and development of 20 associates * consisting of collectors, billing associates and cash application specialist, Responsible for managing the daily Accounts Receivable activity of the facilities' Business Office Managers as well as , daily interaction with the Administrators.
