• Management of Translational studies and Central Lab activities from early to late clinical development (phase 1 to phase 3) • Provides scientific leadership in areas of biomarker discovery, development and translational science working with multiple cross-functional teams • Collaborate with Preclinical Development, Clinical Operations teams and external experts as appropriate to develop scientifically rigorous translational and exploratory biomarker strategies that assess proof of mechanism, establish early signs of efficacy, enable proof of concept studies, patient selection and generate an understanding of the variability in patient response • Partner with preclinical and drug discovery scientists to design and execute translational research to discover and validate pathways and biomarkers associated with mechanism of action and drug response • Support scientific input and review of all translational medicine aspects of clinical and regulatory documents, including but not limited to development plans, study protocols, clinical study reports, regulatory responses and submissions, and scientific abstracts and manuscripts. • Propose and develop innovative methods and technologies as well as new directions for project development • Function as a scientific and business thought-leader inside and outside of the company and a key link to external scientific & medical community.

- In charge of all scientific laboratory aspects related to clinical study protocols as well as the implementation of the corresponding lab manuals. - Interface position between Abivax and the vendors (CROs) and academic institutes that conduct the assays on clinical samples. - Identifying and qualifying CROs - Handling the logistics behind the clinical samples used for translational research, including the shipments to the selected vendors. - Manage the lab personnel and ensure they work in line with compliance requirements and the lab manuals.

- Development of a small animal model in which infection of C57BL/6J mice with a clinical isolate of CHIKV to assess antiviral properties of selected compounds. - Development of cell-based assays for screening compounds with antiviral activity against Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) and Dengue viruses (DENV-1, -2, -3 and -4). - Ability to work in BSL3 environment. - Implementation of quality environment in the research lab
