Cellular immunologist engaged in research activities to explore and develop novel bispecific molecules against autoimmune diseases from early concept to preclinical candidate, utilising the company's soluble T cell receptor platform. Cell biology lead for one of 3 prioritised programs within the department. Role involves: - Immune cell assay design and development - Disease biology exploration - Data analysis and presentation - Collaboration with protein scientists to drive program progression and production of test molecules.

Affiliate staff scientist focused on regulatory T cells (Tregs) as part of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and King's College London. My work here included: - translational laboratory research projects related to the development of Treg cell therapy and induction of immunological tolerance in a transplant setting. - the immunomonitoring sub-project of Phase I/II clinical trials of Treg cell therapy products (ONE Study and ThRIL Study). - quality control assessments of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products for the Biomedical Research Centre clinical trial manufacturing facility. Experienced in cellular immunology techniques; handling primary blood and tissues; isolation, culture and expansion of human immune cells; flow cytometry; and working to GMP, GCP, and GLP.

Involved in all related research activities to dissect the role of complement-mediated regulation of neutrophils, including literature searches, laboratory research techniques in cellular and molecular biology, record keeping, and data analysis. Additional role mentoring and training an undergraduate student during her research project in the lab. Techniques included cell culture, western blot, zymograms, ELISA, and Ca2+ mobilisation experiments.
