Experience

Co-Founder & Legal & People
Building Kamino has been less about being “the lawyer in the room” and more about learning how companies actually scale when regulation, product and business need to move together. At Kamino, I sit at the intersection of legal, compliance, people and strategy, helping turn complex financial infrastructure into a product that feels intuitive, scalable and ready for growth. My role has evolved alongside the company: from structuring the legal and regulatory foundations to leading and driving key fundraising processes, designing governance frameworks, building teams and supporting long-term strategic decisions. What excites me most is that Kamino is still very much a work in progress. We’re continuously navigating new layers of complexity as we grow, refine our platform and rethink how financial operations should work for mid-market companies. Looking back, every experience that came before - from early regulatory battles to post-Series A realities - feels like it led here. And honestly, I can’t wait to see what we’ll build here next.

Tino showed me a completely different side of fintech life: what happens after Series A, when ambition meets operational reality. We were trying to build a brand-new B2B payments network from scratch, with the aspiration of becoming the Visa and Mastercard of B2B payments. It was bold, complex and required deep coordination across regulation, infrastructure and partnerships. What we didn’t fully anticipate were the structural challenges of the Brazilian payments ecosystem, especially the dependencies and constraints created by the registradoras’ infrastructure. That friction ended up shaping the company’s trajectory in ways no pitch deck could have predicted. At Tino, I learned how fragile - and at the same time resilient - early-stage financial infrastructure can be, and how critical it is to align vision, regulatory reality and execution speed when scaling post-Series A.

Visiting Professor
Teaching banking law at Future Law was where my passion for sharing knowledge really clicked. I genuinely enjoy translating complex financial and regulatory topics into something practical and accessible - and, true to my Leo rising, I’ll admit I love a good stage and an engaged audience. Teaching, for me, is less about lecturing and more about exchanging ideas, provoking curiosity and helping people connect the dots between law, business and technology.

Guiabolso was where I truly learned how regulation, technology and power dynamics collide (and honestly, where I had the most fun). Long before Open Banking became a Central Bank-led agenda, we were already building what would later turn into one of its core ideas: giving consumers control over their own financial data. At the time, it felt bold, slightly chaotic and very exciting. In hindsight, it was a preview of a much larger movement that would officially emerge years later. That journey came with intense battles against some of the biggest players in the financial system. A quick search tells the story: regulatory pressure, public disputes and a lot of resistance to change. Living through that period taught me how innovation actually happens in regulated markets: not quietly, and definitely not without friction. It was at Guiabolso that I became certain of my path - not just as a lawyer, but as someone who wanted to help build companies that challenge how financial systems are designed.

Here I had my first real exposure to large technology-driven companies from the inside. Working closely with complex tech operations sparked my interest in data, cloud infrastructure and scalable systems, and ultimately ignited my passion for everything tech - from fintech and healthtech to insurtech.

Associate
I started my career in one of the top Brazilian law firms, where I learned rigor, structure and how to think several moves ahead. It was there that I built my legal foundation but also realized that I was more interested in what happens after the contract is signed than in the contract itself. That curiosity eventually pulled me from advisory roles into operating roles, and later into founding.
