Many years ago, I entered university with a love for physics, and along the way, realized my love for programming. I went into the field looking for a software job, and ended up with a hardware job. For the last 3 years, I have been working full time as an R&D engineering assistant. I have worked with control boxes (designing the layout of components, and wiring) to power cameras, lights, relays, switches, etc. I have done general testing, as well as working independently in troubleshooting both hardware and software problems. I have 3 years experience using Solidworks, creating draft drawings, and 3D printing with Cura/Ultimaker. Specifically, in the past I have worked on ultra-thin, free-standing, continuous-print / no-seam camera bellows (TPU). I have also designed and printed various small parts (PLA). I am an intermediate-level Python programmer, and am quite comfortable working with this language. I have had the opportunity to work with mySQL, T-SQL, and have some experience working with query-languages and large datasets. I have worked with ADAM module GCL programming, C++, and Java, as well as a variety of other programming languages. In the past, I have also used LaTeX, HTML/CSS, Markdown, XML for various document- and web- layout projects. I enjoy working on small projects, and learning new coding languages. In my spare time, I enjoy: reading (aka devouring the science fiction genre), writing (aka doing more research than actually writing), and studying languages (I recently started learning Greek) - feel free to ask me about it!
