The course covered: - English and German grammar deep-dive - Cultural studies of Germany, the UK, and the US - Economics 101 - Text production - Theory & basics of translation - Translation of business, economics, and public relations texts - Translation of general texts I finished the course as well as the external state exam successfully, so I hold two translation certificates, one of which is officially recognized. The German state certificate allows me to call myself “State-certified translator” and is one of the two possible certificates for being eligible to join the professional association of translators in Germany (BDÜ e.V.) as well as get authorized at court.
