I am Julia Andrade — a middle school English Language Arts teacher, author, and storyteller with a strong foundation in journalism and communications. My career began in Brazil as a journalist and later as a contributor for a Brazilian magazine in the U.S., where I strengthened my skills in narrative writing, interviewing, and clear, impactful communication.Today, I bring my love for language and literature into the classroom, helping students grow as writers, readers, and critical thinkers. Alongside teaching, I am also an author. My debut book, Unforgettable (Lara’s Story), explores themes of memory, generational trauma, family bonds, and resilience — weaving personal history into a universal story of healing.Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, I thrive in multicultural environments and value diverse perspectives in both education and creative work. My background also includes experience in marketing and property management, which has strengthened my skills in communication, organization, community engagement, and project management.I am passionate about storytelling in all its forms — whether in the classroom, on the page, or across cultures — and I’m continually exploring new ways to use language to connect, inspire, and empower others.I am also the founder of 🌟The Word Atelier🌟, a creative and educational space dedicated to language learning, communication, and the craft of words.
