After this I completed a specialized training course in special weapons and tactics and was selected as one of 8 members to serve in Gauteng as a High Risk Group that dealt mostly with specialized house penetrations and hostage situation penetrations, it involved helicopter drops in high risk situations in order to restore safety to any situation that involved a danger to society. Several letters of commendation for excellent work delivered were received from the SAPS Commisioner at the time.
