Mission: Developing and monitoring the Local Finance Department, responsible for the areas of Accounting and Controlling, ensuring compliance with internal policies and respective accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Manage and supervise the functions of Controlling and Accounting • Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems; • Lead and supervise staff (6 direct and 5 indirect reports) • Coordinate the business plans and monthly forecast events. • Participation in the Credit and Prices Committees • Analyze and monitor the key performance indicators • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities • Deal and negotiate with funding institutions and major suppliers • Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out • Authorize payments, bank transfers, purchases and business expenses. • Participate in local and regional projects of Finance and Logistics Other significant roles at Roche: - Member of the Pharma Executive Committee. - Deputy of the Finance Manager regarding the local business. - Legal representative of Roche International Ltd. - Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, payers lawyers, bankers and statutory organizations
