POWERTRAIN INTEGRATION - LEAD ENGINEER – JEEP DIVISION: Established vehicle level fuel economy, emissions and performance objectives for Mercedes Benz 3.0L OM642 diesel and 3.6L DOHC engines. Performed drivetrain optimization simulations. Determined engine displacement, final drive ratio and tire sizes to meet a broad range of functional objectives for award winning, world class off road vehicle, the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Managed vehicle level testing, development and validation on highways, autobahns and in harsh off road environments. Assembled interdisciplinary teams to resolve system interaction issues. Led 6 Sigma DFSS project. VEHICLE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER – JEEP DIVISION (2002-2005): Electrical & Chassis systems validation. NAV radio and blue tooth hands free phone development. Established trailer tow sway testing process and for vehicle dynamics assessments and development. Managed fleet retrofits, logistics and led validation test trips in the US and in Europe. MANUFACTURING – PLANT VEHICLE ENGINEER – JEEP DIVISION, GRAZ AUSTRIA (2.5 yrs) & ACTING MANAGER (1/2 yr) (1999-2002): Responsible for product, process and quality improvements and new model introduction. Tracked and led warranty and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives. PRODUCT DESIGN – SR. ENGINEER (1988 – 1999): Rotating assignments encompassed engine box structure, complete door system design and body side assemblies certifiable to FMVSS and customer requirements. Established dimensional control strategies and maintained functional objectives and FMEA’s.

FORTRAN software development for air combat training at Fallon, NV. Foreign missile fly-out and counter measure simulations. Clearance for top secret and WINTEL information.

NASTRAN finite element analysis (FEA) and structural dynamics analysis of aircraft for flutter/aero-elasticity and of missile defense space based structures for modes of vibration and weight optimization. Secret security clearance.
