I created the Intercollegiate Sailing Association's (http://collegesailing.org/; then the Intercollegiate Yacht Racing Association or ICYRA) first website and continued developing/managing it for three years

Created a business-critical application which connected their online advertising sales system to their parent company's billing system for the very first time. This now instantaneous and automated billing process had previously been entirely manual, labor-intensive, error-prone and slow, taking upwards of 5-7 business days to complete.

Textura Design was a small consultancy working with Fortune 500 companies on areas of strategy, implementation and website/software customization related to blogging. As Application Architect, I was responsible for the technical direction of the company and all of its projects.

thedigs.com was a social networking startup focused on the teen and college market in which each user profile was modeled after a "virtual dorm room" that could be decorated to show off their owner's personality and affinities. Working with a very small but dedicated and talented team, we added a music component to the product in the form of the Internet's first online (Winamp-style) jukebox into which users could upload their favorite MP3s which could then be streamed by visitors to their profile. It took off like wildfire leading to our pivot into a "music community", partnerships with MP3.com and RealNetworks and eventual acquisition by online storage startup i-drive.com.

Startups.com was a service provider created to help streamline the process new and/or incubated startup companies went through to build out their initial office and technology infrastructure. As Director of Technology, I helped define the array of solutions we provided for client companies (which included Google, Evite, and others) such as hosting, connectivity and infrastructure for both their internal and external networks, office telephony solutions and employee PCs and laptops.

Working on Azure Active Directory B2C, within Azure Identity including livesite operations (DevOps).

* Promoted to Senior System Administrator to fill a critical need created by the departure of both of my predecessors in rapid succession. * Successfully took charge of managing 50+ servers and other infrastructure running the largest online yellow pages site on the web. * Standardized and automated most DevOps processes (monitoring, maintenance, deployment, etc) and created documentation for the entire system * Trained a team of additional Senior System Administrators to take over for me before moving to San Francisco

* Twelfth employee hired and Movable Type's first product manager after three years of design and development by its creators * Oversaw design, development, QA/beta testing and release of Movable Type versions 3.2.x through 4.3.x * Responsible for the creation and release of Movable Type Enterprise which quickly gained massive market share among large publishers, Enterprise companies and universities.

* During my tenure at i-drive, I held many roles, most of which were newly created positions which needed someone to jump-start them. * Technical Lead * Music/Entertainment products * Manager, Business Development * Director of product management * Director of prod. mgmt * Demand Management * Director of prod mgmt * Core Products Demand Management * Responsibile for controlling system abuse by users who had created methods of automated system access. Oversaw development of technical protection measures such as first commercially deployed CAPTCHA, system of dynamic bandwidth allocation and system management interfaces. In the end, saved i-drive over $10 million (amortized) in bandwidth and disk storage costs. In the core products management position, I was in charge of direction and development of the core technology underlying the i-drive system. Through a set of API's this technology served as a platform for partner's (and ourselves) to build upon.

* Endevver (http://endevver.com) works primarily with larger companies who wish to embrace social media in a desire to derive more value from their interactions with their customers/visitors or from their own internal group collaboration and processes. * This takes varying forms depending on the needs of each client and can include: * Strategy consultation * Needs assessment and selection of tools/services * Application development, customization, integration and deployment * Infrastructure/database architecture design and implementation * Security and performance audits * Full, outsourced systems administration * The majority of our work currently involves Movable Type (http://www.movabletype.com/) and Wordpress (http://wordpress.org) as tools for blogging, aggregation and whole-site content management/development, but we also work with other software, web services and are seasoned professionals in developing, deploying and maintaining custom applications.
