BWXT’s Mount Vernon site manufactures heavy reactor components for the US Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program. With over 600,000 sqft and 500 employees, Mount Vernon specialties includes large vertical and horizontal CNC machines, robotic welding systems, heat treatment, and NDT.

BWXT Barberton specializes in the design and manufacture of large pressure vessels and heavy components for the Naval Nuclear Power Program. Key manufacturing competencies of the nearly 1 million sqft site include robotic welding, CNC machining, and NDT.

Game Composites is a general aviation OEM that produces Part 23 certified aircraft under a Part 21, subpart G Production Certificate. Responsibilities include full financial management, operational performance, quality assurance, human resources, supply chain, IT, business development, and risk management. Plan, organize, and facilitate BoD meetings and events. Lead acquisition valuation and integration efforts. Manage multiple production sites with subsidiary companies that specialize in close-tolerance machining.

Acting General Manager for North Coast Tool and Mold (NCTM) and North Coast Composites (NCC). NCTM specializes in aerospace and defense match-made molds and close tolerance tooling. NCC specializes in resin-transfer molding composites focused in the aviation engine industry.

Department manager for an AS9100D certified aerospace and defense composite manufacturer that produces build-to-print and designed complex aero-structures. Responsible for all operation's processes and performance. AORs include production, purchasing and strategic sourcing, facility and equipment maintenance, training, and operational excellence. Skilled in P&L management, staffing, ERP/MRP administration, new product line planning, and supplier negotiation. Ultimate responsibility is to teach, mentor, and coach a team of operations and supply chain leaders.

Division Leader of technical and administrative professionals. Area of responsibility included department-wide recruitment and on-boarding programs. We recruited over 400 potential engineers each fall resulting in the hiring and on-boarding of approximately 100 recent graduate engineers each year. Also managed department-wide retention programs such as student loan repayments, special pay setting, relocation incentives, and recruitment bonuses. Oversaw the management of formal instruction of over 2500 students each year. I ensured the responsible use of a nearly seven figure training budget each year.

Engineering Manager for aircraft carrier mechanical, fluid system, and structural inspection and replacement branch. Responsible for the day-to-day management of all engineering matters in my assigned area which included overseeing contracted work. Managed the engineering planning, technical support, execution, and certification of up to $10M of work for each carrier maintenance period. I frequently manage teams who plan difficult/complex emergent work in the $1M-$2M range.

Developed maintenance work packages to support the safe operation of nuclear propulsion plants on submarines and aircraft carriers. I owned work scope, task breakdown, material ordering, authored technical work documents and drawings, and responded to RFIs and changes in specifications. My responsibilities included field engineer work in Japan, California, and Washington.

• Taught global survival experiential training to a diverse student base. Developed and executed formal training reports and lesson plans. Evaluated subordinate and student performance against written standards. Trained, evaluated, and supervised new instructors. Implemented development courses. Provided logistical coordination of materials and man-power.

• Lead Instructor. Responsible for the execution of multi-day and multi-week training curriculum to small groups. Responsible for more than 15 instructors and over 40 students during training evolutions. Performed formal evaluation of students with written reports. Professionally addressed performance and discipline issues with subordinates and students to ensure success in challenging environments. Responsible for the oversight of squadron vehicles and equipment. Arranged maintenance, conducted inventory, and maintained records of more than $300,000 in equipment.
