About
My journey into Montessori education began in 2008 when Dr. Nicola Chisnall invited me to join the field. Her influence has been a guiding force throughout my career, shaping my philosophy and approach to education. Dr. Chisnall was pivotal in advancing Montessori education in Aotearoa, New Zealand, and became my mentor during my initial training. Her mentorship set a strong foundation for my lifelong commitment to Montessori principles. I take her legacy wherever my Montessori journey leads me. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, specialising in Montessori Teaching in Early Childhood from Auckland University, and in 2014, I completed a postgraduate degree in higher education level 9. I am also a fully registered teacher with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa, New Zealand, and hold full VIT Early Childhood and primary teaching registration. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of training and mentoring aspiring Montessori teachers. I’ve assisted educators in gaining full teaching registration in both New Zealand and Australia, and have established Montessori classrooms and ece settings, contributing to the growth of Montessori education across both countries. One of my proudest achievements has been co-developing an ASQA-accredited Level 5 Montessori course, the 10987NAT Diploma of Teaching in Montessori Education, which provides aspiring teachers with a formal qualification to pursue their passion. In my ongoing commitment to professional development, I am currently completing a Master of Educational Leadership program at Monash University. This step is part of my goal to further enhance my leadership role and make a broader impact within the Montessori education landscape. My passion lies in empowering educators to become the best versions of themselves so that they, in turn, can fully support the children in their care. My mission is to inspire educators to embody and champion Montessori principles, creating environments where children can thrive naturally and inspire educators to lead with purpose. - ———— ——— Experienced Team Leader with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry.
