ABOUT Most people arrive in Portugal knowing the tax situation is favorable. The distance between "favorable" and "planned correctly" is where things tend to go wrong. My focus is IFICI (the NHR successor regime), Portuguese tax compliance, and making sure a position that looks clean on paper also holds up when the Autoridade Tributária asks 817 unecessarily bureaucratic questions.
