Assisted Professor Weinstein in evaluating undergraduate student papers.

Assisted in the operation of the Center in terms of event planning, communication, website upkeep and more. Served as the role of Center Alumni liaison and Undergraduate student organization liaison, linking interested students with the appropriate research project.

Managed a residence hall of 81 diverse first-year students. Regulated and enforced housing rules and policy. Planned events, performed weekly duties such as rounds, one-on-one discussions with residents and other matters to ensure a safe, orderly and enjoyable living environment.

Drafted demand letters and mediation briefs for personal injury cases. Monitored case calendars, correspondence logs and other case and client information in the Case Management System (CMS) program. Contacted hospitals, medical practices and practitioners to acquire medical records, reports and client information. Corresponded with automobile insurance companies regarding existing cases.

Mentored ~25 incoming international students from orientation to the end of their freshman year by providing help for their adapting to life at UCI and academic achievements. Organized at least 9 events in the year for mentees to socialize and network, administrative work with co-workers and supervisors.

Participated in Research Project #20: Why Are People Homeless, a program focused on the decision-making and risk aversion of the Costa Mesa Homeless population. Drew up an experiment framework, including methodology, writing interview questions, conducting interviews with the homeless population. Collecting and analyzed data and presented at UROP Symposium 2014.

Devised syllabus and teaching plan for students aged 4-13 in a small classroom setting. Planned activities for inside and outside classroom learning. Collaborated with fellow teachers in planning school wide events, celebrations, performances and field trips.

Assist Professor DiMento in legal research.

Researched and analyzed antitrust issues raised in a motion for summary judgment, including valid market definition, per se Sherman Act violations, and antitrust standing. Researched and analyzed criminal law issues raised on appeal in a motion for a new trial involving alleged Brady and Napue violations. Drafted recommendation and bench memoranda to inform the Judges’ votes on each case. Briefed Judge and clerks on records submitted and background of each case.

Worked closely with professor to provide guidance to 1L students in legal research and writing course, assisted students in developing effective writing skills, and assessed students’ writing style, analysis, and citations.
