About
I am a Biomedical engineer from Antioquia School of Engineering and CES University (Medellin, Colombia) with a Master's Degree in Biokinesiology from University of Southern California (USC). My academic research experience include projects in the fields of biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, and bioinstrumentation, mainly in design and development of devices, and technical assistance to disable people with emphasis in infants and children. Throughout my academic career, I have studied and worked with various rehabilitation groups, reaching out into the community and working with children and young adults with different disabilities. I look forward to keep working on the management of research projects related with health in exactly my passion's areas like helping children and developing new strategies for possible faster cures or an improved life-style.

Designed and constructed an adjustable-sized wheelchair for basketball players with disabilities - Led a team of 3 and produced a working model for demonstration that had a better design than currently available on the market - Given a grant to construct life-size working model for possible production I worked one-on-one with members of the Handicapped Physical League which, based on their current wheel-chair shortcomings, I helped design an improved prototype that was stronger, more comfortable, and customizable for each user, fulfilling all their necessities that would be better for use while playing basketball.

Biokinesiology is the integrative study of the biological bases of normal and disordered movement. It is an interdisciplinary science that focuses on understanding how the human body adapts to growth and experience as well as to injury, disease, and aging.","The Infant Neuromotor Control Laboratory (INCLab) studies the development of neural control of movement during infancy and evaluates interventions for neural and functional development in infants with or at risk for developmental delay."]
