My passion for healthcare was inspired by an unpleasant period in my life. When I was in high school, I was diagnosed with cancer. I received excellent treatment and care from everyone at the health system. From that point on, I was motivated to make a positive difference in other peoples' lives. However, I did not know where I would fit in within the healthcare industry. After a year of volunteering at a local free clinic, I recognized that healthcare administration was the area that I wanted to go into. And that is where my journey begins. I am currently attending Regent University where I plan on graduating with my B.S. in Healthcare Management. I also volunteer at a local health system on evenings and weekends. I am looking to gain valuable experience and connect with individuals within the healthcare administration industry. I believe that together, we can make a meaningful difference, no matter what area of a hospital we work in.
