• Developed a systematic portfolio construction algorithm that manages real money in Python • Implemented a CAPM algorithm using Python and RIT API to forecast future asset prices in a simulated market for the 2024 Rotman International Trading Competition, placing 1st in a heat • Used Pandas to build a conditional Value-at-Risk model that calculates overall portfolio tail risk • Conducted quantitative finance research on liquidity betas and back-testing on other statistical models

• Designed the antenna deployment schematics for launching 1U satellites, improving launch rate by 30% • Developed a functional radio system using GNURadio in Python, giving 85% accuracy

• Taught PHYS 159: Introductory Physics Laboratory for Engineers • Demonstrated experimental design, measurement, and analysis techniques to first-year students

• Developed new 5G, 4G, and LPWA cellular module products, improving portfolio performance analysis • Troubleshooted 200+ dev kits using an oscilloscope to ensure TCP and HTTP connection • Documented 15+ official data sheets and module guides with voltage and current data

• Built cables and batteries for Raye, an autonomous sailboat built to sail the Pacific Ocean • Designed numerous PCBs for the battery boxes and flowcharts that depicted the electrical system • Developed scripts and user-test firmware using Python & C on the boat’s sensor system, such as the rudder, winch, sail encoder, navigation light, and GPS • Performed various troubleshooting tasks to address compilation issues

• Developed a geo-located spatial web application that can identify and read UBC street signs with authentic pronunciation from the Musqueam Nation using React-Three-Fiber and Three.js. • Implemented a custom Drupal interface to improve the efficiency of storing audio files and street sign images from UBC’s database by 30%. • Updated and maintained 20 official UBC websites and project pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Assisted others in creating platformer/role-playing games using Unity and Blender. • Hosted and coordinated project meetings, demo sessions, workshops, and public events. • Wrote supporting technical documentation for project updates and results.

• Shadowed plastic surgeons in the clinic and operating room. • Assisted with cell growth and wound healing experiments in a surgery research lab. • Documented research findings and prepared polished reports highlighting results and improvement strategies.
