As an Account Manager, it was my role to build and maintain relationships with IT professionals whilst aligning Softcat's resources to assist them with their ongoing IT related projects and requirements in addition to providing the best service for their business. Key Responsibilities: -Account Management to service customers within SMB Market. -Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to my customers. -Develop a trusted adviser relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors. - Identify and grow opportunities and collaborate with pre-sales teams to ensure growth attainment. -Generate and develop business from new customers, and new business lines in existing customers.

In my third year at university I undertook a placement role at Macmillan Distribution in their Export Customer Service department. I had many responsibilities during my time there including using their ticketing system to accurately assist in any customer queries whilst maintaining the departments service levels, ensuring effective communication with both internal colleagues and external publishers and customers as well as quickly identifying problems/ issues to work and resolve. My time at Macmillan has allowed me to further develop my communication skills and allowed me to have first hand experience of working in a commercial environment. I have also seen a huge development in my organisation due to having to adhere to deadlines and work effectively in a pressurised environment.

I started working with my local Waitrose as a Supermarket Assistant during my time in the sixth form and now have constant work available when home from University. As part of the JLP, we receive regular training on how to deliver an exceptional level of customer service. My role has included various duties such as restocking shelves, co-ordinating the deliveries, working as part of the Checkout Team, and always being available to assist our customers when requested. I was a key worker throughout the coronavirus pandemic and enjoyed supporting the local community at a very difficult time. This period provided me with insight and understanding of the importance of being able to adapt and be flexible through tough times to suit the needs of both my employer and the customers.

I successfully completed my Marketing degree at Bournemouth University graduating with a Upper Second Class Honours Degree. My course consists of various modules, some more business focused and the remainder, pure marketing focused. I am happy to say, I have enjoyed most of them over the past 4 years, although I did find the following areas the most interesting.
