Built and scaled the Sales Engineering function at PortSwigger from scratch - introducing demo tooling, PoC frameworks, and internal sales enablement resources used across the commercial org. Led 35+ SaaS and on-premise PoCs, supporting deals from $30k–$1.2M. I work closely with AEs throughout the sales cycle, from technical discovery and qualification to solution delivery and objection handling. I’ve also delivered custom development and technical workarounds to unblock critical PoCs and secure technical wins. Apply MEDDIC-style qualification and am actively building experience with Challenger-style positioning to support more strategic sales conversations. Selected Wins: • Shifted a deal away from a competitor by guiding CI-driven scanning setup via Docker and aligning with customer DevSecOps workflows • Unblocked a stalled PoC by engineering a repeatable login sequence to access authenticated web app areas • Diagnosed and resolved scan failures due to media overload, clearing the final blocker to technical sign-off

Worked across pre- and post-sales to bridge product, engineering, and commercial teams. Supported onboarding, PoC success, and customer enablement across enterprise and mid-market accounts. I introduced AI-driven automation to speed up internal release processes and created tooling to support BCheck visibility, which is now used by over 40% of users. I also collaborated with growth and customer teams to improve social engagement and product feedback loops.

Developed and maintained Burp Suite features using Java, C#, and C++, including embedded browser work, UI enhancements, and telemetry migration to AWS. I built an internal DSL for UI testing, overhauled telemetry infrastructure, functionality in a custom Chromium browser, and contributed to features across PortSwigger's products (Burp Suite) and backend systems. I also regularly engaged with customers to feed insights into the product development cycle.

Worked in a team which was creating a new Continuous Delivery system. I was the main point of contact and developer for all of the systems mentioned below. Enhanced the functionality and security of a build job reporting system, which made use of technologies such as React, Node, and MongoDB. As part of this I implemented multiple features such as the ability to sign in by integrating it in with the existing single sign-on solution, as well as the ability to create personalised dynamic dashboards relating to data important to a person. I also refactored and rewrote the entire structure of the system, splitting it up into separate micro-services from its original monolithic structure, and upgraded it to make use of ES6 syntax. Maintained and updated a legacy system, used by developers and testers, which provisions virtual machines to a customisable specification on demand, ensuring that developers and testers had access to the resources that they required in order to carry out manual testing. Examples of work on this system include regular maintenance and the creation of new OS templates and expansion of specification options available, to cater for user needs. Created from scratch a system in Golang which allows test machines templates to be updated and versioned, ensuring that if automatic updates failed, they could be quickly rolled back with minimal downtime. Taught senior developers how to use Ansible and how to create their own test and build templates through code. Gained experience in React, Node, Golang, Python, Ansible and MongoDB.
