* European Observatory is a network of experts and specialist stakeholders composed of representatives from the public and private sector, as well as civil society, who use their technical skills, experience and knowledge to protect and promote IP rights and support those directly engaged in enforcement. Within this context, the EUIPO has created six Expert Groups (EG) Observatory Outreach * Legal * Impact of Technology * Cooperation with Intermediaries * International Cooperation * and SME. I was selected as member of the SME Expert Group, providing insights for the promotion of the IP culture among SME at the European level, especially with my experience of following tech based start-ups.

* To define common positions and exchange best practices, EARTO has Working Groups comprising experts from EARTO members who assist the Secretariat in formulating policy positions on technically complex issues. These groups also offer the members opportunities to network and benchmark their services, processes and performance against other members. * WG Legal Experts * EARTO WG Legal Experts is composed of 15 active experts. * The WG is looking at the EU legal rules related to Research & Innovation and impacting RTOs. SACEPO/PDI is an advisory body that meets once a year, usually in March, at the EPO in Vienna. The meeting aims at informing the SACEPO/PDI sub-committee on developments regarding the EPO’s patent information services and collecting input from the user-group representatives. For the term 2018-2020 the sub-committee has 23 members: four nominated by epi, 12 nominated by various patent information groups, and seven nominated ad personam by the President of the EPO.

The Space Law Research Center (SPARC) is the first and currently only research group on space law in Portugal. Created in 2018 within CEDIS, the research institute of NOVA School of Law, its purpose is to research and promote awareness of topics related to space law. Particularly, it has a goal to further develop a space law community in Portugal and to write in Portuguese on space law matters, since that is something that is currently lacking in the Portuguese-speaking academia.

I was member of the Board of Directors of Proton Europe in the above mentioned period. It has been a great experience to be part of the executive commitee of this relevant European institution. Also, an opportunity to organize the Annual Conference in Lisboa last January, together with Portuguese colleagues from COTEC Portugal, Universidade de Lisboa and Universidade Nova de Lisboa. I definitely look forward to remain in touch with Proton Europe in a near future.

The IP Board is an advisory board to EIT Health b.V. Management Board in all issues with respect to Intellectual Property.
