About
I was born in the last century (no computers, no Internet, no smartphones, by that time, sounds like Stone Age to me, now!). As a child, I fancied with the idea of becoming a famous writer, but years after school I received my Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Telecommunication Engineering (humbleness is my middle name, and so is hard work). I have been in the future: I have commuted to work in an autonomous shuttle that has picked me up at my doorstep following my schedule (conveniently, in style, making the most of my time); where I’ve been, no one dies on the road, there are no polluting vehicles, and owning a car feels like Stone Age. I have been to the future where I pay for the mobility I need in bundled, customized packages that give me access to a bunch of on-demand mobility services, including many other digital and location based services that are offered to me based on my preferences; pretty every object around is connected to a blockchain-powered Internet, and although it’s quite scary in the beginning, you rapidly get used to it. Time travel requires an adjustment period, and I’m back now to envision and design new mobility services at FACTUAL, a foresight innovation consultancy focused on mobility where I’m cofounder and managing partner. Mobility not black and white: want both taxi and Uber in my app. Future mobility often sounds like sci-fi, and is coming (don’t take it too seriously with the Game of Thrones paraphrase!). More on me: @josik35 at Twitter, and josik35 at Instagram.
