Joseph Snodgrass
Chief Executive Officer @ TruGrid
About
I'm a CEO and operator with a career spanning utilities, oil and gas, power generation, and large-scale infrastructure, with the last several years focused on applying that experience to utility-scale solar and battery energy storage. I've led EPC, owner-operator, and advisory roles across regulated utilities, energy infrastructure, and industrial assets, delivering complex capital programs where safety, reliability, and cost certainty matter more than headlines. My background includes oil and gas, water and wastewater, thermal power, renewables, and grid-connected energy systems. Most recently, I've applied that operating discipline to renewable energy platforms, building and scaling EPC organizations capable of executing utility-scale solar and BESS projects across ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, MISO, and other North American markets. The focus has been the same as in traditional energy: margin discipline, risk management, constructability, and predictable delivery. Over my career, I've led portfolios exceeding $50B in capital projects, delivered more than 5 GW of energy infrastructure, and executed PMO, cost recovery, and operational turnarounds across both regulated and competitive markets. I’m comfortable operating in environments shaped by utilities, lenders, regulators, and private equity. I build energy businesses that perform in the field, withstand due diligence, and transition cleanly through ownership changes.
