For a company that produces software, Quality Assurance may be one of the most important functions within the organization. When examining software quality, it is essential to consider the development, version control, test, defects, staging, release, statistics and customer support processes. As a Manager of Quality Assurance I consider this a great responsibility. Having worked in the industry as a developer for over twenty years I have an insider’s view of the creation of software and it’s idiosyncrasies. I have a wide perspective and view the big picture. By examining those processes I am able to provide recommendations that, when implemented, will save the company time, money, increase customer satisfaction and provide the business with significant competitive advantage. Implementation of these Change Management techniques coupled with automating the build and test procedures along with researching the best ways to do this, is currently the focus of my career.
