* As a Boatswain's Mate in the United States Coast Guard, I served on a 110’ Patrol Boat and served at Coast Guard Station New York. I directed and supervised personnel in all ship activities relating to boat seamanship, upkeep of ship's external structure, rigging, deck equipment, and boats. I also operated and maintained equipment used in loading and unloading cargo, ammunition, fuel, and general stores. Duties also included * serving as helmsmen and lookouts * working in non-engineering divisions of the ship or station * standing security watches while in port and under way * serving as a member of damage control, emergency and security alert teams * conducting both security patrols and Search and rescue missions.

As a Unit Manager, I am responsible for streamlining services and programs to inmates assigned to the Unit. I have developed a Unit plan that outlines the expectations of both inmate and staff. Orchestrate the development and implementation of an effective treatment approach in the Unit and chair reclassification and other unit management meetings that include inmate’s progression or regression through the level system including, awarding or rescinding good time. Responsible for making operational decisions and serving in the capacity of a department head within the facility. Conduct background investigations for visiting applicants, answer inmate informal complaints, answer classification appeals, and conduct and impose disciplinary sanctions on inmates who receive minor level misconduct reports.
