Responsible of the Operation, Maintenance, Safety and Security of the Distribution Center. Responsible of the implementation of the Security Project for this facility. Provide support to Corporate with the personnel reporting directly to Corporate located in this facility. Coordination of the different external suppliers to provide services to the facility. Responsible to comply with all the requirements from the insurance company. Provide support to the Shipping department on the internal and external requirements. Responsible in the Fire Suppresion System upgrade and the coordinatioin between the supplier and the insurance provider. Responsible to generate the Aquisition Request form (analysis to justify projects) for capital projects.

Responsible of the coordination of different areas of the plant such as: Facilities Maintenance, Monuments, Equipment PM’s, Welding Process, Waste Water Treatment Plant and Tool Room. Responsible of the coordination of the external suppliers that provide service to Facilities equipment (Compressed Air, HVAC, BAS, Forklifts, etc.). Provide support and coordinate activities in the rehabilitation of the Alco Controls Building. Assure that Copeland complies with policies from CFE (energy provider) and avoid energy shortages. Coordinate and assure that Copeland complies with FM Global requirements to reduce the Insurance fees. Coordination with other departments to improve performance (Production, Quality, Finance, HR, Training and Engineering). Coordination with AME group to complete installation and ramp-up of Mainlines 2 and 3. Coordination with Corporate personnel to perform Facilities projects (BAS, Alco Building, WWTP, etc.). Focused on problem solution and goal accomplishment. Direct communication with different levels of the company (from plant personnel to corporate personnel). Ensure that personnel under my responsibility complies with safety policies (no recordable accidents within my responsilibity area). Responsible of the preparation and justification of the AR’s required for the areas under my responsibility. Develeopment of cost reduction projects such as energy, external suppliers and internal processes. Direct communication with municipal authorities to solve problems that could arise (CFE, COMAPA, Protección Civil, etc.).

Responsible of the coordination of the different CFT’s in the introduction of the new models to the plant. Project planning and coordination of the Cleanroom construction for the LCD Repair Project. Responsible of the transference of the LCD Monitors Repair Process from Oxnard , California to Reynosa. Introduction of 160 different LCD models for Best Buy. Project leader in the introduction of 10 new models for Palm. Project leader in the introduction of 5 new models for RIM (Blackberry). Assurance of ECO compliance on the new models for every customer. RBOM’s development in coordination with Customer’s information and the NPI team recommendations. Project planning leader in the volume increase plan in the HP Repair Monitor Project. Development of the NPI requirements such as headcount, space, tooling & equipment, processes, etc. Team member of the Click Commerce system implementation in the plant. Responsible of the development, implementation and ramp of the special repair processes for the Palm and RIM products in coordination with customer. Responsible of the coordination of the continues improvement through the implementation of kaizen projects. Responsible of the capacity analysis of the plant. Responsible of the implementation of line balance based on customer volumes. Responsible of the maintenance for the facilities in the plant. Responsible of the maintenance programs in the plant. Responsible of the development of cost reduction projects to achive financial targets of the company.

Introduction of 17 different chair models including the design definition. Responsible in the design improvement process of the Pillowsoft II products (to make the product manufacturable). Introduction of the Accomplish Extension products in the time committed to the HON Company. Coordinator of the Engineering staff in the development of the suppliers for the Accomplish Extension Products. Definition of the goals and objectives for the Engineering department. Development of plan to resolve the main problems to improve the quality required and the delivery on time of the products. Plan developement to improve the productivity of the production cells. Development of new suppliers to ensure cost reduction plans. Development of the inventory reduction plan for 1st Qtr 07. Lean Manufacturing implementation through the entire Monterrey facility. Development of the Production Scheduling Procedure for the Monterrey plant (working in a team with Planning, Materials, Distribution and Production departments). Increased produced volume in 13% in a one year period. Managed 200 direct members. Reduced headcount by 7.7% and increased productivity by 18.38%. Reduction of 36.8% of downtimes through the implementation of corrective actions on the main downtime contributors. The training matrix was implemented to add flexibility to the plant. Implementation of the Pull System (2 hours kanban) in the Fabrication area (Stamping, Welding, Paint and Subassembly processes) acting as the RCI Team Leader (supported by Sensei Sugai).

Primary interface between the Customer and Celestica de Monterrey. Coordination of the Materials, Planning, Production and Engineering departments to deliver product on time. Request Customer involvement to provide support when required. Coordination of the Product Improvement Forum to accomplish the Cost Reduction Program for the Customer ($150K USD per quarter). Coordination of weekly meetings with the Customer and the internal team to track programs, improve the communication process and ensure the daily activities progress. Successful coordination of the Product, Process, Quality and Test Engineers to transfer 550 different products in a 24 month time frame for 2 different customers (Avaya and Lucent Technologies). Responsible of performing the assessments in the transferring locations in order to develop the plan to transfer the products. Responsible to follow Celestica procedures during the introduction of a new product to accomplish the customer requirements. Validate and provide feedback to improve new designs to Customers. Provide pilot run reports to Customers. Coordination of the engineering staff to complete 10 pilot runs per week in the Lucent Technologies project. All new products were ready for the ramp-up and mass production stage as committed in the transference plan. Trained the Engineering team (9) to support the new products during the mass production stage. Improvement of test yield from 95.5 to 98.5% through the Six Sigma process. Improved the In Circuit Test and Functional Test yields from 20% to 98% in a 4 month period through the implementation of a continues improvement process. Reduction of 15% headcount by implementing the Lean Manufacturing concepts. Leader on the transference of other products for Costumers such as HP, Sony, IBM and Cisco Systems.
