Jordan McFall
Co-Owner @ Automate-X
About
I’m a co-owner at Automate-X, where I lead marketing, contribute to strategy, and support sales across our automation and intralogistics business. My role has evolved alongside the company. I originally joined Automate-X in an engineering capacity, but over time, I took responsibility for building and growing our intralogistics offering, from early market positioning through to client engagement, solution development, and commercial execution. That business unit has since become the core focus of Automate-X. - Marketing strategy and execution across brand, content, events, and demand generation - Commercial and sales support, including solution scoping and client engagement - Strategic planning for growth across Australia and New Zealand - Ongoing involvement in intralogistics solution development and automation projects I remain hands-on with the business and close to the work, spending time with clients, on sites, and in commercial discussions, because that’s where the best insights come from. My background is in engineering, with experience across automation, industrial controls, commissioning, electrical project management, supervision, and continuous improvement. Over time, I’ve combined that technical foundation with marketing and commercial strategy to help scale the business in a practical, sustainable way. I’ve worked alongside teams delivering automation and intralogistics solutions for organisations including Fonterra, Australia Post, Air New Zealand, Auckland Airport, NZ Couriers, Carter Holt Harvey, Sanitarium, Griffins Foods, Saputo, and others across logistics, food, manufacturing, and infrastructure. I’m focused on building real businesses, strong systems, and automation solutions that deliver measurable value

Co-Owner
Auckland, New Zealand
I am responsible for helping to grow the business and have played a key role in our growth over the past few years. When I first joined the company, we had only four employees; we now have a team of 35+. I've worn many hats to help the business grow during this crucial period, including automation engineering, project management, marketing, developing market strategies, and providing Automation Consulting for industrial automation companies. I help create automation solutions and provide solutions. This involves meeting with prospects, understanding their needs and challenges, and proposing automation solutions that are tailored to their specific requirements. I provide estimates and quotes for full automation systems, working closely with our engineering team to ensure our proposals are accurate and feasible. I create automation roadmaps and blueprints to help industrial manufacturing with a future overview, which is critical in ensuring that our clients are well-prepared for the future and clearly understand how automation can help them achieve their goals. I have recently been focused on building the Logistics Automation division, which is currently the key part of my role. Finally, One of my key responsibilities is to plan and post all marketing material and set up campaigns for company branding. I have also helped develop the website, SEO strategy, and LinkedIn growth strategy to ensure our marketing efforts align with our growth objectives. This has helped us to establish a strong brand presence and attract new clients to the business. Overall, being the Business Development Manager for Automate-X is an exciting and challenging role that involves overseeing various aspects of the business, including marketing, market strategy, client account management, and automation consulting. I am proud to be a part of this innovative company and look forward to helping it grow and succeed

Senior Automation Engineer
Auckland, New Zealand
As a Senior Automation Engineer at Automate-X, I played a key role in delivering innovative automation solutions to diverse clients. My extensive experience programming different PLCs and HMIs using brands like Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Omron, allowed me to develop efficient and reliable automated systems that met client requirements. In addition to my technical skills, I also had strong project management capabilities, allowing me to organise electrical builds, design, implementation, and commissioning. Throughout the automation lifecycle, I ensured that projects were delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Writing code in Structured Text and Ladder Logic allowed me to create robust automation systems. I also created engineering systems for machine safety, including developing documentation templates, engineering structures for risk assessments, safety specifications, validation, and review standards. By doing so, I ensured that safety was a top priority for all the projects I was involved in. Through my contributions, I helped Automate-x establish itself as a leader in the automation industry, delivering solutions that exceeded client expectations. I also started to help Automate-X with marketing to help grow a strong brand in the New Zealand Automation industry. My role quickly changed into helping with sales and business development through the growth we experienced quickly.
