About

I'm a Primary Care Paramedic, Canadian Armed Forces veteran, and the founder of Ferox AI -- a privacy-first artificial intelligence company building tools for regulated professionals in healthcare, legal, and compliance. I spent seven years on the front lines with Alberta Health Services EMS in downtown Edmonton, working out of one of the city's busiest stations. Most of my call volume involved people experiencing homelessness, substance use, mental health crises, or some combination of all three. I managed mass casualty overdose events, provided wound care in the field, coordinated with community organizations, and trained the next generation of paramedics coming through the system. Before EMS, I served twelve years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a communications specialist. I completed my Primary Leadership Qualification, commanded a satellite detachment, deployed on domestic disaster response operations during the 2013 Calgary floods and 2014 Saskatchewan wildfires, and was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration for service. In 2024, I co-founded Salient Health & Safety Inc., an occupational health and safety consulting firm serving construction and industrial clients across Alberta. I led business operations, client acquisition, and safety program development before stepping away in early 2026 to focus full-time on Ferox AI. Ferox AI is building on-device AI that keeps sensitive professional data where it belongs -- on the user's machine, never in the cloud. We're solving a real problem: regulated professionals need AI tools, but they can't send client data to third-party servers without violating their professional obligations. Our platform runs locally using Apple silicon and open-source models, with full Canadian data sovereignty compliance built in from day one. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History and Political Science from Carleton University and completed my EMT-PCP program with honours at NAIT. I'm currently pursuing additional credentials in occupational health and safety. Open to connecting with people working in health tech, AI ethics, emergency services, occupational health, and veteran transition.

Ferox AI is a privacy-first artificial intelligence company building on-device tools for regulated professionals. As Founder and CEO, I lead our mission to solve the 'Data Sovereignty vs. AI Utility' paradox. We develop platform-agnostic, local-first AI solutions that allow professionals in healthcare, legal, and compliance to leverage advanced LLM capabilities without ever transmitting sensitive client data to third-party cloud servers. My role encompasses product strategy, technical architecture oversight, and business development, focusing on the unique regulatory requirements of the Canadian professional landscape.
