During Jon's final months of college, he was contracted to teach Algebra I to a group of students. These 14 students represented 4 grade levels as well as a variety of learning styles, learning disabilities, and educational backgrounds. Jon created lesson plans, assigned homework, designed projects, wrote quizzes and tests, communicated with students, parents, and other faculty, and graded the work that was turned in. His priority was demonstrating concepts clearly and efficiently in order to help the students achieve academic success and gain confidence in their mathematics skills as they moved forward.

He would assist in loading and unloading the truck, pull cable from the phone room to any location needed, set up phone and internet jacks, as well as test location for connection also to find where it would connect to the system.

Jon most often tutored algebra, calculus, and probability in an attempt to help students better understand the how and why of math -- Jon takes a philosophical approach in order to help students grasp the concepts of mathematics and other sciences. With a wide range of students at a variety of levels, from middle school through college, Jon's ability to synthesize and communicate data clearly was strengthened. He was challenged to create a variety of ways to explain and demonstrate material in order to reach and impact people with all different learning and communication styles.

As a Guest Relations Host, Jon was required to distribute park information, help find solutions to guest problems, and sort lost and found items by cataloging them into the computer system to simplify the process of returning the lost items to their proper owners. Jon hosted both scripted and unscripted tours such as Disney's California Adventure Segway Tour and VIP Tours to guests.

Jon started with Labor Systems by assisting with the implementation of a program to help record the start and stop times of shifts, breaks and lunches. This led to him becoming a trainer for both leads and managers on how to properly utilize the software both for accurate time recording as well as setting up a rotation to prevent any cast member from working any position too long.

* As a sales associate Jon's job is to * Sales fragrances in addition to other items, assist with Macy's card applications, acquire and maintain a client list * Greet, welcome, make connections, assist, customers in order to lead to purchase, * Customer service, maintain stock, keep stock organized, and work with other team members.

Jon would maintain the cleanliness of the resort by sweeping the areas, emptying the trash cans, and cleaning restrooms amongst other duties. After about 6 months at that position Jon became Lead. As lead, Jon would communicate to cast members their assignment for the day. He would also be responsible for answering calls in a timely manner. He would scheduling breaks and lunches around regular events like parades, fireworks, and other activities. It was at this position that Jon was selected to work with Labor Systems Department for the implementation of the new time recording system.

Jon assembled, cleaned, boxed and shipped camera housings. Sometimes Jon would also have to manufacture some parts when needed.

As IT manager, Jon spends the majority of his time addressing IT issues as they arise, working towards preventative measures, and establishing procedures for Lonestar Restaurant Supply and their developing needs. This has also been accomplished by making recommendations regarding both hardware and software. While working with MySQL to run uniCenta open source POS, Jon was able to use the source code in Java of uniCenta to help understand how it was storing the inventory to assure that it was correct. He also made changes in the XML to enhance the appearance of the receipt, and added necessary buttons to customize it for the needs of the sales force. Started as Inventory Specialist 1 for the first 6 months with Lonestar. Jon would use QuickBooks Enterprise 15 to acquire the data to make reports for management. In addition, he would also count stock levels and assist in the store when needed.

Activities and Societies: Cross Country and Track and Field Team

Extended University of California State Polytechnic University in Pomona He took an online course titled Accounting Fundamentals I and is currently taking Accounting Fundamentals II. Each are 24 hour training cores in accounting. It covers from basic how to maintain the General Leger, to updating the Journals, AP, AR, Balance sheet, and a little on Deposit Tickets, Reconciliation of Bank Statements, Payroll and Earning Records.
