As an Regional System Operator, ISO NE is charged with overseeing the bulk generation of electricity in New England. The Resource Adequaxy department is involved in relevant statistical modeling and evaluating the probability of failure of regional energy generational units due to climate vulnerability and other factors. This great internship program allows for a completely unique perspective into how the energy markets work in New England. Several trips are planned to meet with the CEO's of all regional utility companies in addition to critical energy generators such as the Yankee Nuclear Power Plant. A portion of my responsibilities in this position include the research necessary for the completion of my Masters Thesis.

Under this position, I am responsible for the instruction of intermediate level statistical methods. This is done via lecture twice a week, a weekly discussion section, and the use of several statistical platforms such as Megastat, Minitab, and Excel.

In this role, I was responsible for the financial and operational analysis of Hamilton Sundstrand's Worldwide Repair Operations. This business unit consisted of twelve domestic and international repair sites. Analysis for these sites included monthly close financial accounting as well as creating adaptive inventory forecasting models, as well as various other responsibilities.
