Experience

teacher
maple heights city schools
I taught a fourth grade self-contained inclusion class for two years at Dunham Elementary School. In addition to my teaching duties, I also volunteered to create and produce two school-wide music programs. I volunteered to work in their after school Extended Learning Opportunities program which helped prepare the students for state testing. During my second year in Maple Heights I was offered an administrative position to develop and coordinate a summer latch-key program. I was responsible for the hiring and scheduling of the teachers and aids. I was also in charge of organizing all the fieldtrips and program activities as well as managing the financial aspects of the program.

special ed teacher
varney grade school
During the year that I work at Varney Grade School I worked as a special education teacher for grades 1-3. I serviced some of my students in a pull-out situation. I also co-taught in a third grade math class. I volunteered to develop a Veteran's Day school-wide music program. This program was open to the community. I also developed and coordinated a school-wide holiday program which was also performed for parents and members of the community.
