I work as the Picture Desk and Logistics Manager at USA TODAY Sports Images/IMAGN and function as the main point of contact for our photo editing and on-site needs. My path into sports photography started when I was 15 and got to try out taking pictures of my high school's football team and within a year I was photo editor of the yearbook and eventually led the design team for the sports section of it. Immediately after graduating I began working with a new website that covered the local high school sports and gradually expanded by list of clients to the local newspapers and other local publications. In fall 2012 I took John H. White's photojournalism class at Columbia College Chicago and I started 2013 in London doing a study abroad in the photojournalism course at the College of Communication at the University of the Arts London for the spring and summer semesters. I was heavily involved with the student-run newspaper, the Arts London News, and co-led the photo department of the regular publication and was given the leadership role for one edition of the paper that was completely devoted to showcasing work of the photojournalism course students and alumni. When I returned I began working at The Columbia Chronicle, Columbia College Chicago's student-run newspaper as the Senior Photo Editor. I was grateful to be a member of the Pink Team at the Eddie Adams Workshop (XXVI) in 2013. I started working with USA Today Sports Images in early 2014 as a freelance photo editor on their photo desk and shortly began editing live events and photographing games for them. I covered my first of several Kentucky Derby's this year for Eclipse Sportswire and in the summer I began freelance work with Getty Images as a photographer and field editor. In the fall of 2014 interned at the Miami Herald. My biggest accomplishment is that I helped design the workflow and FTP system, via wired and wireless connections, for team of over a dozen photographers for Eclipse Sportswire as the official photographers for the Breeders' Cup. Throughout the years I have had photographs published in a variety of publications and websites across the country such as Sports Illustrated, ESPN, USA Today, New York Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, CNN, NBC, and Fox. A fun fact about me is that I used to referee soccer when I was 12-16 years old and COVID permitting, I will be returning back to this hobby that I truly enjoyed.
