Using product knowledge and geographical advantage; I help to define, locate and source the best quality items for our markets.

My role as a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages covered a wide range of responsibilities, both academic and pastoral. I lead 9 groups of students ranging from 11-16 years old, and teach to GCSE standard. I also have the responsibility of Form tutor, which involves taking care of students in a pastoral sense. The job requires excellent organizational skills and a high level of creativity and energy. In order to make subject content relevant to all students, there is a distinguished level of empathy and understanding of the students in order to get the best out of them. I have collected, and collated data in order to inform my day to day decisions and through this have developed a comprehensive understanding of how to use a range of ICT resources such as SIMS, Word, and Excel. I also ran a lunchtime club which gives students the opportunity to explore the cultures of other countries and learn about production and direction techniques of foreign films. I helped to maintain high standards of behavior and insist on the inclusion of moral education throughout my work. I am a confident communicator and am accustomed to presenting to large groups on a daily basis.

NPLQ qualified

During my time at University, I studied Spanish and Portuguese. I also did a module of French in my second year. In addition, my degree covered an array of culture, from literature through art and history.
