Jonathan Meyer

I directed a department, the School Foods Department, that serves as the liaison between 100+ private Jewish schools and the New York Department of Education, for the schools' participation in the National School Lunch Program. The program serves students from poor families, providing them with subsidized breakfasts and lunches. Our role is to assist the schools achieve full compliance with the program requirements and ensure that the schools and students have access to USDA-provided kosher commodities.

I serve as the Director of Communications, Appointments and Promotions, and Development for the Department of Medicine. The Department is the largest department in the North Shore - LIJ Health System, with roughly 500 faculty members spanning 12 academic divisions.

Construct, negotiate, and manage the budget, run the faculty productivity program, run the incentive compensation program.

Direct, manage, and plan for the successful financial operation of the Division of General Internal Medicine.

Directed agency-wide planning and program development activities in a wide variety of areas. Supervised a staff of planners in formulating plans and proposals, developing budgets, conducting needs assessments, analyzing data and health issues, designing new programs, and liaison activities with government, regulatory, and voluntary agencies. Conducted special detail work in TB, Epidemiology, and Prison Health Planning. Managed 4 planners.

My responsibilities included designing studies, fielding them, analyzing the data, and reporting on the results.
