* Member of the taskforce assembled to develop the Australian Government Response to the Independent Review of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 2001 (Cth) – (the Government Response). * Procurement and Contract – Negotiating, drafting and finalising contracts. Management of specialists’ services contracts in support of the Taskforce. * Project management – Develop complex project management/risk management framework. * Government Response – coordinating departmental and interdepartmental input into the development of policy that fed into the Government Response. * COAG – Provide policy advice and decision-making support to the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet specialist team providing advice to the Commonwealth with respect to the reform agenda being progressed by the Council of Australian Governments.

* I have been equipping five service delivery business units with the connections and tools to successfully advocate for Government investment in the 2017-18 financial year. To assist in turning around previous funding outcomes, I am delivering: * a comprehensive strategic investment guide and template documents * effective inter-agency and senior executive service stakeholder engagement, including through facilitated workshops * scoping for the procurement of consultants to conduct feasibility studies * advocacy strategy advice * strategies to promote best investment outcomes and drive improved value for money outcomes in the Territory * advice on integrating disparate service delivery outputs to achieve better holistic outcomes.

* Receiving, examining and providing advice on requests for legal services from Defence clients nationally. * Provided advice on, and assistance with, the formulation of statement of works to obtain legal advice from external legal providers as members of the Legal Services Providers Panel. * Requesting, receiving and assessing tenders. Awarding, drafting and finalising contracts. De-briefing tenderers. Contributed to the development of legal services procurement policy. * Team member in the development of the Legal Advice Database.

This role was where I built my solid background in Federal Government contracting and procurement. Procurement – agreements in all forms, including: requests for offer, contracts (short and long form), deeds, statements of requirement, variations and memoranda of understanding. Advice – the broad range of matters that affect a government department, including: all aspects of government procurement practice and procedure, legislative interpretation, administrative law, legislative compliance, debt recovery, and defamation.
