* Contribute to the structure and stability of the classroom by helping students stay on task and focused within the classroom * Utilize behavioral and therapeutic interventions to support the mental health needs of our clients; which includes working with students on skills such as anger management, coping with frustration, or interacting positively with peers * Working as a member of a multidisciplinary team with teachers, therapists, psychologists, and other therapeutic and educational staff * Foster curiosity and creativity in our students by sharing skills and interests in sports, art, games, nature exploration, and other fun activities * Participate in weekly supervision to expand skills and receive ongoing guidance and support * Provide daily summaries of students’ progress towards their mental health goals * Provide crisis intervention for students, using de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts; which includes physical management of clients and implementation of Seneca’s Ahimsa Model Training

* Filing, indexing, and organizing medical and patient documents * Scheduling appointments and relaying important medical information to patients. * Process patients upon arrival and establish communication with doctor. * Billing patients and working with Medi-Cal and private medical insurers.

The Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) is the State of California's most improved urban school district over the past eight years, as measured by Academic Performance Index (API), California's primary metric for measuring student achievement. * Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in using behavioral, clinical and therapeutic techniques appropriately. * Write mental health notes to document interventions. * Participate in individual and small group treatment. * Supervise clients as directed by supervisor. * Transport clients to and from their residence as needed. * Communicate effectively with all staff involved in the daily life of the client. * Intervene with the clients in the program as needed. (This includes physical management of the clients and implementation of Seneca Center's Ahimsa Model Training). * Engagement in meetings and interventions with program clinicians, educators and leadership geared toward areas of professional development interest. * Provide mentor training to new staff. * Attend additional trainings based on areas of interest for professional development. * Perform all other duties as necessary for the good of the agency as instructed by supervisor.
